What is an Open Badge?

An Open Badge is a digital showcase of the experience of its holder. It makes a person's skills or achievements in a given professional situation more visible. It can be delivered by an organization or a company and shared via web-based platforms such as LinkedIn or Open Badge Passport. Open badges are particularly useful for recognizing and valuing skills acquired outside of traditional training and provide an effective way to motivate and engage students, employees, users or citizens around shared goals, resources and/or values. How was this badge earned (criteria)

This badge is earned on demand with validation of the following two elements of proof:

  1. the recipient's registration on the participation statements of at least 2 educational experiments offered by a GEM department or program
  2. reflective feedback from the recipient on his/her contribution to one of these experiments

These elements of proof guarantee a level of involvement and individual questioning capable of identifying an open mind to initiative and experimentation.

  • le récipiendaire a participé de manière effective à la conception, au développement ou à la mise en forme d’un projet entrepreneurial réalisé dans le cadre du module ;
  • ce projet a fait l’objet d’une formalisation explicite dans une note d’intention créative, permettant d’identifier l’idée, l’intention, la proposition explorée et la contribution du récipiendaire ou de l’équipe ;
  • le projet a été présenté au public au sein de GEM le 2 décembre 2025, dans une logique de mise à l’épreuve, de confrontation à un regard extérieur et de valorisation de la démarche engagée ;
  • le récipiendaire a démontré, à travers sa participation, une ouverture à l’expérimentation, un esprit d’initiative, une capacité à faire émerger des idées et à les transformer en proposition partageable dans un cadre collectif ;
