Appraise the role community science and monitoring could play in supporting government compliance and enforcement programs\n\n### Learning experience and activities  \n\nSelf-paced course that includes:\n\n- Five modules with multimedia presentations, videos and downloadable materials that describe the fundamentals of social and environmental compliance inspections (SECI)\n- One multiple choice quiz at the end of each module\n- One multiple choice quiz at the end of the stage\n\n### Content / Topics\n\nThis stage of the course has five modules covering the following topics:\n\n- Introduction to Social and Environmental Compliance Inspections (SECI)\n- Targeting and Prioritization \n- The Inspector and Inspections\n- Enforceable Requirements\n- Defensible Evidence\n\n### Assessment description\n\nThose who obtain the credential have successfully achieved one of the following options:\n  \n- Option 1: Achieved a score of 90% or higher on the Stage 1 Placement Test.\n- Option 2: Successfully completed the following activities in stage 1:\n   - Read the course content through interactive presentations\n   - Responded to questions for reflection in the course discussion fora\n   - Passed five learning assessment quizzes with 70% correct answers (one quiz for each course module). Two attempts per question\n   - Passed one stage test with 70% correct answers.
