Professional Competency in Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Civil Service

Learning goals

To carry out actions that contribute to and/or promote the safe and responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in their context. The recipient of this credential has demonstrated the ability to achieve one or more of the following objectives:

• Carry out specific actions to explore the applicability, in their professional context, of the knowledge and/or skills acquired in the course Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI): Fundamentals for the Latin American and Caribbean Civil Service.

• To carry out specific actions to put into practice, within their context, the concepts, tools, processes, and/or practices for the safe and responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence, through the analysis, dissemination, promotion, or application of what was learned during the course.

Learning experience and activities

To obtain this credential, the applicant must have met the following requirements:

• Obtain the credential Strategic Competency in Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Civil Service.
• To have performed a specific action that strengthens and/or improves the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in public service activities, taking into account its advantages and limitations within the relevant context.

Evidence description

This credential is awarded after verification and approval by a review team of the following evidence:

• Response to the questions included in the application form.
• Submission of evidence demonstrating the execution of a specific action in which the knowledge and/or skills acquired in the course Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI): Fundamentals for the Latin American and Caribbean Civil Service were used. The evidence describes the type of action carried out (applicability exploration; dissemination or training; proposal for use, adoption, or adaptation; contextualized analysis; design or adaptation of tools; application or implementation); the context of application; the impact of the action on the individual, on work processes, and on the organization or context; the knowledge and/or skills from the course that were used; the specific activities performed, their execution period, and the key decisions made during execution; the relevance of the action to the context in which it was carried out; and the conclusions or reflections derived from it.
• Submission of a supporting document with relevant information that validates the action executed.
