Learning Outcomes

The micro-credential confirms that the learner possesses advanced knowledge and practical skills in utilizing integrated financial and accounting systems in business and accounting offices, with a particular emphasis on the Comarch ERP Optima system and current accounting and tax regulations.

The learner who earned the micro-credential knows and understands:

  • the principles of operation of integrated financial and accounting systems within an organization,
  • the Accounting Act and tax regulations (particularly VAT) in the context of their application in ERP systems,
  • the structure and logic of the Comarch ERP Optima system modules,
  • the principles of tax and ledger accounting using IT systems,
  • the significance of financial and management reporting generated from ERP systems.

The learner with the micro-credential is capable of:

  • configuring the work environment in the Comarch ERP Optima system, including setting up and managing company databases,
  • recording business transactions using accounting, commercial, and warehouse documents,
  • keeping a tax ledger and accounting books within an IT system,
  • preparing tax declarations and financial and management reports,
  • integrating accounting, commercial, and warehouse processes within a single ERP system.

The learner demonstrates:

  • accountability for the accuracy of data entered and the consequences of any errors made,
  • the awareness of the importance of reliability and compliance with regulations when working with financial and accounting systems.

Assessment Method(s)

The micro-credential was granted on the basis of a positive evaluation of practical tasks completed during laboratory classes using the Comarch ERP Optima system.

The assessment of learning outcomes included in particular:

  • the substantive and technical correctness in recording business transactions,
  • the ability to use ERP system's functionalities in the areas of accounting, taxes, and reporting,
  • the independence and accountability in performing practical tasks.

Mode of Delivery

The micro-credential certifies the completion of 100 hours of practical classes and independent student work. The classes were workshop-based and focused on the direct acquisition of skills in operating an integrated financial and accounting system.

Quality Assurance Arrangements Underpinning the Micro-credential

The issuance of the micro-credential is based on a coherent outcomes matrix (knowledge, skills, and social competencies) – content – assessments, their verification, and agreed-upon teaching methods, in accordance with the course syllabus (practical profile) and under the supervision of the course coordinator. The quality of education is assured by transparent criteria and passing thresholds, systematic evaluation of results, and periodic updates of content and methods based on conclusions from assessments and feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
