Assessment Method(s)

The micro-credential is awarded based on the participant's achievement of the intended learning outcomes, as evidenced by the results obtained during the postgraduate program, the preparation of a final project, and the final examination. The assessment particularly focuses on the level of knowledge mastery, the development of practical skills, active participation in classes, completion of tasks and workshops, the quality of the final project, and the ability to apply the acquired competencies in professional practice.

Mode of Delivery

The micro-credential certifies the completion of approximately 750 hours of work by a postgraduate student in the "Cybersecurity Specialist" program. The workload is structured to include a variety of educational activities that together form a cohesive, practical, and specialized learning process. During the theoretical part, conducted through lectures, participants acquire organized and in-depth knowledge in areas such as information protection, telecommunication system security, network security, cryptography, risk management, compliance, security audits, legal aspects of cybersecurity, and the organization of security functions within a company.

A key component of the program are the practical sessions, which are conducted through workshops, classes, and case studies. These sessions aim to develop skills in threat identification, security incident analysis, supporting security tests, securing cloud environments, working within a Security Operations Center (SOC), and preparing reports and recommendations for organizations.

An integral part of the education process is the participant's independent work, which includes preparation for classes, studying subject literature, analyzing specialized materials, completing practical tasks, and preparing a final project. The entire educational process is supplemented by other activities, including participation in workshops, consultations, the final project, and the final exam, all of which allow for summarizing the acquired knowledge, verifying skills, and assessing the readiness to perform professional tasks in the field of cybersecurity.

Quality Assurance Arrangements Underpinning the Micro-credential

The issuance of the micro-credential is based on the participant achieving the intended learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and social competencies, as defined for the postgraduate program syllabus. These outcomes are linked to the program content and the adopted teaching and assessment methods.

The verification of the learning outcomes is continuous and multi-stage. It includes assessing the participant's activity during classes, completing practical tasks, participating in workshops, preparing a final project, and taking a final exam, all of which allow for a comprehensive evaluation of the degree of knowledge and skill acquisition and readiness for their practical application in a professional environment.

The quality of education is ensured by clearly defined criteria and conditions for obtaining credits, regular assessment of participant progress, the practical nature of classes based on workshops, case analysis, and working with tools used in cybersecurity, adapting program syllabus to current threats, trends, and industry standards, and incorporating feedback from participants and stakeholders in the educational process. The adopted approach promotes a high level of education and adequately prepares participants to apply the acquired competencies in their professional careers.
