The student who has earned this badge has:

• Actively participated in the mobility week within the Open Mind programme “Inside the EU: A Journey Through Its Institutions”, held in Brussels.
• Attended the scheduled institutional visits to the main institutions and bodies of the European Union.
• Taken part in briefing sessions with institutional representatives, diplomats, and EU professionals.
• Fulfilled the attendance, punctuality, and active participation requirements established by the project organisers.

Objectives

• Understand the institutional functioning of the European Union and the role of its main institutions.
• Gain knowledge of EU decision-making processes and governance.
• Analyse the role of national and regional representations within the EU framework.
• Explore professional opportunities within the European institutions.
• Develop a critical and well-informed perspective on European integration and its political, social, and economic impact.

Activities

• Visit to the European Parliament (Hemicycle) and meeting with a Member of the European Parliament.
• Visit to the Council of the European Union (Consilium) to understand its legislative role.
• Visits to the Permanent Representation of Spain and to the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the EU.
• Sessions at the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions.
• Participation in a training session at the European External Action Service.
• Meeting with professionals working at the European Commission.
