We partner with our 48-member countries to provide Latin America and the Caribbean with cutting-edge research about relevant development issues, policy advice to inform their decisions, and technical assistance to improve on the planning and execution of projects. For this, we need people who not only have the right skills but also are passionate about improving lives.

Learning goals

• Develop self-awareness skills to lead personal change and enhance the ability to act effectively in the context of development and social impact projects.
• Develop effective communication skills to interact with and manage teams and stakeholders in development and social impact projects.
• Apply collaborative negotiation strategies to resolve conflicts and achieve optimal agreements.
• Implement leadership strategies to build and develop high-performing teams, promoting collective decision-making, accountability, and the facilitation of productive working meetings.
• Design personal and team-based learning pathways, integrating knowledge of leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management into a practical case, in order to apply the skills developed through the PM4R Leadership model.

Learning experience and activities 

Guided learning that includes:

• Individual activities such as quizzes and discussion forums, aimed at internalizing the concepts and tools of PM4R.
• Group activities in which concepts and tools are implemented and applied to development and social impact projects.
• Feedback activities where the certified Trainer in charge of the program provides guidance and support to each team.
• Synchronous theoretical activities where the certified Trainer in charge of the program will explain each of the tools and the weekly work.

Assessment description

The credential is awarded to participants who complete all the course activities and pass the knowledge test.

It is imperative to complete all individual and group activities, as well as to actively participate in all synchronous sessions of the course to obtain this credential.

Estimated effort

Participants receiving this credential have completed 7 weeks of course, equivalent to 52 hours of academic work.
