The Basics of sustainable tourism badge is awarded to a person who has mastered the basics of sustainable tourism.

RECIPIENT

• Understands the different dimensions of sustainable tourism
• Understands the difference between responsibility and sustainability
• Is familiar with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• Is familiar with Visit Finland's Sustainable Travel Finland label and the certificates it requires

The badge is part of the national Sustainable Tourism badge system. The badge is a digital proof of demonstrated competence according to the Open Badge standard.
