Virtu-Peace: Virtual Interactive Reconciliation for Transforming Unity in Palestine | Badge of Completion with Distinction

Welcome to Virtu-Peace, a pioneering project dedicated to transforming Palestinian unity through virtual exchange. We connect Palestinian youth from diverse backgrounds across the globe, providing a unique platform for dialogue and skill-building.

Students holding this badge have:

• Earned 80-100 points (out of 100)
• Attended a minimum of 6 sessions (out of 8)

By meeting these criteria, students will have attended most of the dialogue sessions, submitted some or all of the weekly assignments and completed the Civic Action Project.

By combining different elements of this course, students will gain valuable transversal skills and competencies, including:

• Global Awareness and Systems Thinking: Participants will critically analyse global challenges and interconnected systems, including the impact of international aid on Palestinian civil society, to identify pathways for equitable development.
• Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility: Participants will develop civic responsibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to actively address societal issues through empowerment and equitable participation.
• Digital Literacy: Participants improve their competency in utilizing tech platforms for effective communication and collaboration, leveraging diverse digital tools to create and promote civic engagement initiatives.
• Effective Communication: Participants will enhance their verbal communication and active listening skills, resulting in higher confidence and effectiveness in communication and collaboration in culturally diverse groups.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Participants will develop their leadership potential and enhance their collaborative abilities to work effectively in diverse and remote teams towards the successful attainment of common goals.
• Interpersonal competence and intercultural sensitivity: Participants will learn to critically examine their personal biases and develop the ability to value diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds in their interactions.
• Creativity and Innovation: Participants will be encouraged to think creatively and actively explore novel solutions to challenges and opportunities. They will also learn to adopt innovative approaches and methodologies in their problem-solving.
