What is an Open Badge?

An open badge is a digital showcase of a learning experience undergone by its holder. It makes a person's skills or achievements more visible. It can be issued by an organization or company and shared on online platforms such as LinkedIn or Open Badge Passport.

Open badges are particularly useful for recognizing and promoting skills acquired outside of traditional training programs and provide an effective way to motivate and engage students, employees, users, or citizens around shared goals, resources, and/or values. More info... (in English)
