Assessment Method(s)

The micro-credential was awarded based on the participant's achievement of the intended learning outcomes, as confirmed by the results obtained during the postgraduate program and the final exam.

The assessment particularly focused on the level of mastery in areas such as Total Productive Maintenance, modern maintenance management, machine efficiency indicators, equipment reliability, spare parts management, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and problem-solving tools. It also took into account the development of practical skills related to failure analysis, planning preventive and predictive actions, organizing maintenance activities, utilizing CMMS and Digital Twin systems, and implementing improvement initiatives.

Mode of Delivery

The micro-credential certifies the completion of approximately 750 hours of work by a participant in the "TPM Champion. Maintenance in Practice" postgraduate program. The workload structure includes various forms of educational activities that collectively create a cohesive educational process with a practical-technical and managerial focus, aimed at developing the competencies needed to implement TPM and modern maintenance in a production organization.

During theoretical classes, participants acquire structured knowledge in areas such as TPM, Lean Management, 5S, autonomous, preventive, and predictive maintenance, Digital Twin, RCM, FMEA, inventory management in the maintenance department, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and methods for solving technical problems. A significant component of the program are practical sessions, conducted through classes, workshops, case studies, and work with examples of technical and system documentation. These sessions aim to develop skills in analyzing machine efficiency, identifying causes of failures, planning inspections, organizing AM and PM activities, designing improvement actions, and evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance solutions.

An integral part of the education is the participant's independent work, which includes preparing for classes, analyzing educational materials, completing practical tasks, developing proposals for preventive and predictive actions, analyzing TPM indicators, and studying examples of TPM implementations in manufacturing companies. The entire educational process is complemented by a final exam, which allows for the summary of the acquired knowledge, verification of skills, and assessment of readiness to implement the learned solutions in professional practice.

Quality Assurance Arrangements Underpinning the Micro-credential

The issuance of the micro-credential is based on the participant achieving the intended learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and social competencies as defined for the postgraduate program. These outcomes are linked to the program content, the adopted teaching methods, and the assessment strategies.

The verification of the learning outcomes is continuous and multi-stage. It includes evaluating the participant's activity during classes, completing practical tasks, participating in exercises and workshops, case analysis, working with examples of technical and system documentation, and a final exam. This comprehensive assessment approach allows for a thorough verification of the degree to which the knowledge is mastered, practical skills are developed, and the readiness to implement them in production, technical, and managerial environments is achieved.

The quality of education is ensured by:

  • clearly defined criteria and conditions for passing,
  • systematic assessment of the participant's progress,
  • a practical approach to classes based on exercises, workshops, and case studies,
  • the use of tools and methods appropriate for TPM, Lean Management, 5S, RCM, FMEA, CMMS, Digital Twin, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and problem-solving,
  • adapting program content to the current needs of manufacturing enterprises in the areas of machine reliability, maintenance, and workplace safety,
  • incorporating feedback from participants and stakeholders in the educational process.

This approach promotes a high level of education and adequately prepares participants to apply the acquired competencies in their professional practice, particularly in the areas of Total Productive Maintenance, modern maintenance, machine reliability, failure management, preventive and predictive actions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
