Learning Outcomes

The micro-credential confirms that the learner possesses knowledge, skills, and social competencies in the field of occupational health and safety, with a particular focus on the specifics of working in the IT industry.

The learner who earned the micro-credential knows:

  • the basic regulations and principles of occupational health and safety applicable in the workplace,
  • the rights and responsibilities of employees concerning health and safety,
  • the requirements for the workspace and the ergonomics of an IT professional's workstation,
  • the principles of preparing and documenting occupational risk assessments.

The learner is able to:

  • identify hazards related to professional activities,
  • apply principles of safe and ergonomic workstation organization,
  • utilize health and safety procedures in daily professional practice.

The learner demonstrates:

  • accountability for their own safety and that of their colleagues,
  • the awareness of the importance of adhering to health and safety regulations in the IT work environment.

Assessment Method(s)

The micro-credential was granted on the basis of a positive evaluation of the test, case studies, and activities conducted during seminar sessions, confirming the knowledge of health and safety issues.

The verification of learning outcomes considered in particular:

  • the accuracy in identifying hazards and assessing occupational risk,
  • the ability to adjust health and safety regulations to the specifics of IT work,
  • the appropriateness of proposed organizational and ergonomic solutions.

Mode of Delivery

The micro-credential certifies the completion of 50 hours of theoretical classes, practical classes, and independent student work.

Quality Assurance Arrangements Underpinning the Micro-credential

The issuance of the micro-credential is based on a coherent outcomes matrix (knowledge, skills, and social competencies) – content – assessments, their verification, and agreed-upon teaching methods, in accordance with the course syllabus (practical profile) and under the supervision of the course coordinator. The quality of education is ensured by transparent criteria and passing thresholds, systematic evaluation of results, and periodic updates of content and methods based on conclusions from assessments and feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
