The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through BIDAcademy, issues the following badge and certifies that the recipient has contributed as a collaborator in the 4th PH4H Connectathon (Pan-American Highway for Digital Health), a regional interoperability event that brought together technical teams from 17 Ministries of Health across Latin America and the Caribbean. Held from October 27 to 30, 2025, in San Salvador, El Salvador, this event—organized jointly with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Digital Health (RACSEL), with financing from the Government of Japan and the support of multiple partners—marked a milestone in building an interoperable digital health network in the region. The event included the participation of national representatives from the invited countries, including health authorities, experts in information and communication technologies, international organizations, and technical teams, all gathered to foster collaboration and innovation.

Develop competencies in supporting the regional digital health event by actively participating in showcases and activities of the PH4H 2025 Connectathon (Pan-American Highway for Digital Health), fostering collaboration and teamwork in an international environment.

Learning experience and activities

The collaborators actively participated in the “Epidemiological Alert” Showcase, supporting the simulated vaccination activity that generated digital vaccination certificates. They were also trained in the use of the International Patient Summary (IPS). In addition, they contributed to the Regional Health Stands and the Health Customs activity, collaborating in the review of International Patient Summaries (IPS), conducting simulated clinical consultations, and updating IPS records, thereby strengthening their practical competencies in digital health environments for themselves and other participants.

The participation of the recipient of this badge in the 4th PH4H Regional Connectathon involved an estimated effort of approximately 24 hours.
