Climate Change and Biodiversity | IDB Group’s 2023 Knowledge Week

For this, we need people who not only have the right skills but also are passionate about improving lives.

Learning goals

The series of sessions of the “IDB Group’s 2023 Knowledge Week” were designed with the purpose of providing participants with a detailed understanding of:

• The latest research and evidence on priority development areas for Latin America and the Caribbean
• What works inside and outside the region
• The trends and opportunities to address development challenges effectively and efficiently

Learning experience and activities 

Virtual or in-person learning that included masterclasses, presentations and/or discussion panels on topics related to development effectiveness.

Content/Topics

The Day 4 of the “IDB Group’s 2023 Knowledge Week” was focused on the topic of Climate Change and Biodiversity and included the following sessions:

• Amazonia: Local Action for Global Impact
• The Future is Now
• Data Visualization on Climate Change: Triggers for Action
• Climate-Tech: What are the opportunities and barriers for private sector investment in climate action in the region?

Assessment

Although there was no comprehensive assessment, the event was highly interactive, offering several opportunities for participants to interact with the content and each other and reflect on what they learned.
