Start to Finnish

This badge is a recognition of skills of basic Finnish as well as the completion of the Start to Finnish course. After accomplishing this course, the student has practiced basic words and phrases of Finnish. Also, the student has familiarized with Finnish culture. The scope of the course is two European study credits (2 ECTS). The course is organized by Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.

Criteria

This badge can be earned by successfully completing the Start to Finnish course. Completing the course successfully requires the passage of all the exercises.

The course includes four sections, where the student has learned and practiced Finnish. The sections contains Finnish alphabets and sounds, numbers, pronouns, verbs, and phrases. Also the student has explored Finnish culture at the last section of the course.

The course consists of multimodal theoretical content, and practical exercises. Aim is to support the learning of Finnish language, and engourage the student to use Finnish in everyday life.

The course can be completed independently on the Edukamu study platform developed by Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. More information about the course can be found on the course website.
