Criteria

Local cultures and traditions badge is awarded to a person who has demonstrated competence in local cultures and traditions related to sustainable tourism.

RECIPIENT

Identifies different local cultures and traditions and is able to design measures to protect them in the context of tourism
Is able apply participatory tools in the design of a tourism product
Understands what is meant by cultural appropriation and know how to prevent it
Understands the importance of human interactions with other species for the sustainability of tourism

DEMONSTRATION OF COMPETENCE

This competence has been demonstrated in an online course on Sustainable Tourism.

The badge is part of the national Sustainable Tourism badge system. The badge is a digital proof of demonstrated competence according to the Open Badge standard.
