This digital badge is awarded to participants of Beautiful Bees—a support program for young women in rural areas—who have acquired entrepreneurship and employability skills and, while doing so, have given back powerful initiatives for their local communities and territories. Program participants have received 100 hours of training covering entrepreneurship knowledge and skills such as business models, marketing strategies, finance plan, team management, regenerative leadership and soft skills for employability. Participants have also learned about the opportunities offered by the rural world, both in sectors at risk of a lack of generational renewal and in innovative sectors within the green economy and digitalization. This digital badge recognizes the effort, dedication, attitude, and—above all—the knowledge gained by the women who actively participated in the program. Beautiful Bees was made possible thanks to the Social Innovation Initiative of the European Commission, under the call: "Social Innovations for the Upskilling of Vulnerable Youth, Especially Young People not in Employment, Education, or Training". The project has been run by a European Consortium of 4 partners: Fundación EOI (Spain), Cámara de Comercio de Santiago de Compostela (Spain), CESIE (Italy), ESI (LIthuania) 100 young women from Spain, Lithuania, and Sicily participated in the program, creating a community of "Pollinating Bees for the Common Good" in rural areas.
