This badge is for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion module, part of the Cross-Cutting Subjects pathway. This badge demonstrates the learner has essential awareness around equality, diversity and inclusion practices during emergency responses, in line with the FIELD Programme's guidance. The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion module takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

Criteria

The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they:

  • Can identify the key concepts of equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Recognise examples of discrimination
  • Can describe the benefits of equality, diversity and inclusion in emergencies
  • Can apply relevant standards and frameworks to develop systems and processes that promote equality, diversity and inclusion in humanitarian organisations
  • Recognise marginalisation within communities Identify potential barriers to inclusion in a humanitarian response

This badge is earned by completing the necessary activities, knowledge check tasks and feedback requests within FIELD Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

FIELD has been developed by Save the Children, with support of World Vision International and is available for free on Kaya, the global online learning platform.
