Criteria
The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they:
- Can review the key differences between standard operating procedures and emergency recruitment procedures
- Recognise potential capability differences between Local NGOs, Regional NGOs and International NGOs
- Can recall the key tasks in preparing for an effective recruitment process
- Recognise effective and ineffective preparedness practices
- Are able to identify opportunities for staffing and their challenges
- Recognise practices that encourage diverse candidates, avoid gender / other bias and incorporate 'do no harm' principles
- Can identify appropriate approaches to increase candidate interest
- Understand practical interviewing skills that will enable effective selection
- Can describe the key steps an induction process in emergencies should include
- Are able to identify ways in which the recruitment process can support the induction phase
