Evaluation Competence EQF 5

Opintokeskus Sivis on valtakunnallinen aikuisoppilaitos, joka toteuttaa, tutkii, kehittää, ohjaa ja tukee järjestöllistä koulutusta. Sivis järjestää vuosittain jäsenyhteisöjensä kanssa opintojaksoja noin 80 000 tuntia. Vertaisopintoryhmissä opiskellaan 47 000 tuntia ja ammatillisessa lisäkoulutuksessa 37 000 tuntia. Osallistujia on yhteensä noin 140 000. Siviksen toimintaa rahoittaa, arvioi ja valvoo Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö. Toimintaa ylläpitää Opintotoiminnan Keskusliitto ry, ja sitä valvovat Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö sekä Opetushallitus. Toiminnasta säädetään vapaata sivistystyötä koskevassa laissa. Sivis Study Centre is a nationwide adult education institution.

This badge was earned by providing evidence of at least 5 out of 7 criteria listed below and based on self-assessment.

The earner of this badge can:

  • Elaborate the importance of involving the participants in the continuous evaluation of an adult education course or event for the for the development of the course or event and for the development of the evaluation skills of the adult educator.

  • Identify what should be evaluated in an adult education course or event and can plan and develop the course or event so that it enables a continuous, fair, motivating and reliable evaluation.

  • Make necessary adjustments during the adult education course or event based on the continuous evaluation.

  • Independently teach, coordinate and supervise others in use and in the developing of the evaluation practices in adult education courses or events.

  • Plan and carry out a comprehensive evaluation of an adult education course or event using different and complex tools and methods.

  • Independently analyse and supervise others in analysing the results of an evaluation of an adult education course or event.

  • Communicate the conclusions of the evaluation of an adult education course or event, the reasoning that lead to them and can independently follow up on the evaluation and take the necessary measures to improve the quality of the course or event or to create new evaluation practices.

Elaborate on the importance of continuous evaluation and submit 4 examples of how you have involved the participants in the continuous evaluation of an adult education course or event and explain what you have learned as an adult educator from the different evaluations.
Describe what elements needs to be considered when planning an an adult education course or event so that it enables a continuous, fair, motivating and reliable evaluation. Give 2 examples of how you have developed evaluation practices in order to increase the fairness and reliability of the evaluation practices.
Give examples of adjustments made during an adult education course or event based on the feedback from the participants and explain how these adjustments affected the the course or event and what skills this demanded of you as an adult educator.
Provide evidence of your experience where you had a teaching, coordinating or supervising role in a team of educators in using and developing evaluating practices in adult education courses or events.
Submit 2 examples of complex tools and methods that you have used for the evaluation of an adult education course or event.
Submit an analysis of a evaluation of 1 adult education course or event that you carried out and 1 in which you have had a supervising role including a reflection of the usefulness of the evaluation for the identification of areas of success and development.
Submit evidence of your experience as an adult educator of raising points based on the evaluation of a particular adult education course or event. Reflect on the measures taken in order to improve the adult education course or event and provide ideas on how new evaluation practices can be developed.
