Methodological Competence EQF 4

Opintokeskus Sivis on valtakunnallinen aikuisoppilaitos, joka toteuttaa, tutkii, kehittää, ohjaa ja tukee järjestöllistä koulutusta. Sivis järjestää vuosittain jäsenyhteisöjensä kanssa opintojaksoja noin 80 000 tuntia. Vertaisopintoryhmissä opiskellaan 47 000 tuntia ja ammatillisessa lisäkoulutuksessa 37 000 tuntia. Osallistujia on yhteensä noin 140 000.

Siviksen toimintaa rahoittaa, arvioi ja valvoo Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö. Toimintaa ylläpitää Opintotoiminnan Keskusliitto ry, ja sitä valvovat Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö sekä Opetushallitus. Toiminnasta säädetään vapaata sivistystyötä koskevassa laissa.

The earner of this bade:

  • Is aware of adult education principles and ways they guide in methodological choices.

  • Has broad knowledge of existing sources of methods relevant in adult education field.

  • Can independently create a brand new method based on objectives, target group and context of adult education activities.

  • Can adapt and combine methods in a comprehensive sequence based on adult education principles.

  • Can demonstrate trust in learner’s capacity to learn in self-directive and self-organised way and choose appropriate methodology for that.

  • Can demonstrate participatory and experiential learning methodology in the context of adult education.
