The ‘Una Europa in the Community’ Student Project Incubator is an 8-week online programme for undergraduate and postgraduate students from the eleven Una Europa universities. It aims to bridge the gap between universities and local communities, fostering collaboration to enhance their collective impact in addressing global challenges. Grounded in the “think globally, act locally” principle and challenge-based learning methodologies, the programme invites students to design prototype solutions in one of the following key topics: 1) Digital Humanities: Preserving Cultural Heritage, 2) Ethical Consumption: Sustainable Fashion and Consumer Activism, and 3) Media Literacy for Democratic Participation: Battling Misinformation and Fake News. During the programme, participants engage in workshops, collaborative teamwork, and milestone challenges that equip them with the knowledge and skills to identify local needs and co-create innovative, community-oriented solutions. The 'Una Europa in the Community' Student Project Incubator is coordinated by the University College Dublin.
