License to design – Pyro, Metso Services program

The License to design – Pyro badge is awarded upon successful completion of the internal License to design learning program for pyro. This program is part of the Metso Services Grinding, Bulk, Pyro and Smelting (SVS GBPS) engineering certification framework and is designed to validate the engineer’s foundational knowledge. The program covers the core capabilities needed for effective design work within the pyro subfunction. It includes modules on engineering drawing review, an introduction to pyro products and burner systems , CAD software tools such as Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks and guidance on the GBPS engineering certification program. The target audience are Metso SVS GBPS engineers working in project engineering, operations engineering and product engineering within the pyro subfunction.
