Academic Representative at GSU

As an Academic Representative, this individual has demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, successfully representing the academic interests of their peers. This role involves gathering feedback, attending formal meetings, and working with academic staff and the Students’ Union to improve the learning experience. Academic Representatives are essential in ensuring that students have a voice in their education. They work to highlight both positive and challenging experiences on their course, and collaborate with university staff to shape academic policy and practices. Their role is voluntary and held on top of their academic studies. Academic Representatives may represent a programme, year group, or department, depending on their course structure.
