Engineering Explorer

This badge recognizes the successful completion of ENGR1001: Exploring Engineering Technology, a four-week, project-based summer workshop at City Tech. The workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering Technologies through immersive, hands-on experiences. Participants collaboratively design, build, and program an automated robotic system that sorts light bulbs based on their condition. Throughout the program, students gain exposure to engineering career pathways, develop foundational technical skills—including breadboarding, digital and analog circuit design, 3D CAD modeling, and robotics programming—and strengthen their college readiness and problem-solving strategies.
