This 35-hour course explores advanced techniques for ensuring the reliability and reproducibility of research. More specifically, it shows participants how to improve their practices for managing large data and complex computations in controlled software environments: - how to use formats like JSON, FITS, and HDF5, platforms like Zenodo and Software Heritage, tools like git-annex, docker, singularity, guix, make, and snakemake; - how to integrate them in a real-life use case: a sunspot detection study; - see for themselves that these methods and tools allow for working in a reliable and reproducible way. The authors of the course are : Arnaud Legrand, computer science researcher (CNRS/LIG, Inria, UGA), Christophe Pouzat, neurophysiologist (CNRS/IRMA. University of Strasbourg), Konrad Hinsen, biophysicist (CNRS, Centre de biophysique moléculaire, Soleil) Matthieu Simonin, Ludovic Courtès and Kim tâm Huynh are research engineer at Inria
