This course is part of the Community Driven Resilience (CDR) learning pathway and aims to improve self-reliance and sustainability for local organizations on the front lines of providing humanitarian assistance. The course introduces the rationale and technical contents used in GCVCA; Explains how women, girls, and other marginalized groups are disproportionately impacted by disasters; Defines GCVCA objectives and scope with community leaders; Trains on how to form a team and map out the research process; Allows for a review and synthesis of available climate information for a specific community; delves into conducting participatory research using focus group discussions, GCVCA field guides, and key informant interviews; trains on consolidation and analysis of data inclusive of a gendered analysis; and finally ensures that knowledge is gained on Validation and sharing findings. This e-Learning course is intended for staff working in the local, national, and international humanitarian and development space.
