Earner has successfully completed a workshop on 'Problem solving', which has provided them with the skills required to critically assess situations that may arise as a physical activity leader, identify ways to support with and overcome these situations, and to recognise and implement the most suitable solution.
Earner has participated in a workshop on 'Inclusion' and has gained thorough knowledge and understanding of the importance of inclusivity in physical activity and how to create an inclusive culture as a physical activity leader. Earner has knowledge of practical strategies to ensure inclusive practice as a physical activity leader to enable equal opportunities for participation and success for all.
Earner has participated in a 'Volunteering' workshop, acquiring knowledge regarding: the role of a volunteer; their personal motivations for volunteering; the benefits of volunteering for themselves and the communities and organisations they volunteer with; the skills required to be an effective and competent volunteer, including communication and organisation; and how volunteering correlates to employability. Earner has also completed an application to undertake a volunteering placement.
Earner has completed a practical training session on 'Leadership' to obtain and enhance their practical skills and abilities as physical activity leaders. Earner showed competence in an array of physical activity leadership scenarios.
Earner has built on their previous experience of a leadership role within their school by giving an additional 4 hours of their time, bringing their total leadership hours to a minimum of 8. They have demonstrated dedication and adaptability by continuing to apply their knowledge and develop their practice using new skills gained through workshops.
Earner has supported with the planning and delivery of a School Games event, either at their own school or another site. This significant undertaking involved commitment, team work, logistics, co-design and organisation. Earner utilised all of the knowledge and skills they have obtained at their Time2Lead workshops regarding being an effective and successful physical activity leader, as well as drawing on the experience they have gained through the leadership hours they amassed within school.
