Hāpara Student Dashboard level 1

Student Dashboard provides learners with a central, mobile-friendly location to access assignments, resources, announcements, assessments and more from Google Workspace for Education, Google Classroom and Hāpara. Student Dashboard is designed to promote student agency by helping learners manage their time, improve organization and develop executive functioning skills. Learners can get lost or confused by all the digital learning tools they have at their disposal; Student Dashboard empowers students to take control of their learning journey.

General outcomes

  1. Participants develop a basic understanding of the Hāpara Student Dashboard features.

  2. Participants will be able to introduce Hāpara Student Dashboard to their learners in a pedagogical context of student-centered instructional use, where learners take ownership of their digital learning.

Specific outcomes

Participants develop a deeper understanding of how Hāpara Student Dashboard supports student learning by exploring what learners have access to in Student Dashboard:

  • Understand the features that help learners organize and access their assignments and communications
  • Support learners by educating them on how to use features to assist them in planning, prioritization and time management
  • Guide students to develop stronger executive functioning skills
  • Develop skills that build perseverance to filter distractions and set and achieve goals
  • Strengthen student agency and digital citizenship skills through the use of Student Dashboard

Learning activities

This is a self-paced micro-credential course completed through Hāpara Workspace.

Assessment

Participants must achieve 90% or higher on the summative assessment to receive credit for this micro-credential.
