Cybercrime Basic

During the Cybercrime Basic training course, participants will gain insight into current trends, developments, opportunities, and threats from cybercrime and digitisation. Participants will follow the process from reporting a cybercrime to a case submitted to the Justice department. Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive the Cybercrime Basic Badge. This course is part of the Cybercrime training trajectory .

Criteria

To receive this Badge the following criteria have been established.

Acquired competences and skills

  • Gaining basic knowledge of internet and computer technology through e-learning.
  • Gaining knowledge of national legal frameworks with regard to cybercrime and authorities.
  • Being able to prepare and perform a cybercrime-related search.
  • Being able to restrict harm risk during an investigation.
  • Being able to interpret and investigate data secured from a smartphone.
  • Being able to interpret mail headers during a phishing investigation.
  • Being able to perform a brief online investigation to benefit one’s investigation.
  • Being able to create and interview/interrogation plan and report.

This course is part of the Cybercrime training trajectory that also includes the Advanced and Professional courses. After completing all three courses you will receive the Cybercrime Complete Badge.
