The criteria used to issue this badge are:
Having successfully completed the GB22 training course for Nodes held on 4-5 October 2015 in Antananativo, Madagascar. This list of participants in the course is available at http://goo.gl/FrZQtB.
Having completed all the required exercises during the course.
Having completed the final assignment as defined during the course, submitted the results before the deadline established (15 November 2015).
Having obtained a minimum score of 3 out of 4 points on the evaluation by the trainers of the student submitted assignments. This evaluation has been based on public course evaluation rubrics.

This badge certifies that the wearer can successfully complete the following tasks:
Recognize which of the publishable data types and subtypes (if any) a biodiversity dataset belongs to, including recognizing metadata-only datasets, occurrence datasets (and their subtype), checklist datasets, and sample-based datasets (and their subtype).
Apply the different data publishing mechanisms supported by GBIF. In particular using the GBIF Integrated Publishing Toolkit (IPT) and the Darwin Core Archive star schema to publish biodiversity data via GBIF through the use of standard core and extensions.
Classify different kinds of data publishers based on the nature of the data they want to publish, their current level of technical knowledge, their areas of interest and their concerns.
Define a strategy to convince a given data publisher to publish data online. This includes [1] evaluating which are the technical and hosting solutions that match the data to be published and the resources and skills of a given potential data publisher; [2] evaluating which of the approaches (best practices) are likely to be effective to convince a potential data publisher to publish their data; and [3] defining a data promotion strategy based on the technical solutions and best practices matching a given data provider.
Discuss data publishing solutions with a potential data publisher, based on a personalized strategy previously defined.
Create innovative strategies to address biodiversity data mobilization in new communities.
The verifying evidence that certifies that Ursula Smith meets the criteria set for this badge is:
The final assignment on the publishing a complex dataset using core and extensions available at http://community.gbif.org/pg/file/read/51039/.
