Teamwork
Teamwork is one of the careercred and CBI (Confederation of British Industry) core skills for the workplace. This badge is about respecting others, how you co-operate, negotiate and persuade, how you contribute to discussions and your awareness of your interdependence with others.
To earn this badge you need to demonstrate the following abilities:
- An understanding of how teams work
- Respect and appreciation for others including respecting the feelings of others, and knowing when and how to include others
- Ability to co-operate with others to achieve collective goals
- Ability to seek solutions through negotiation during conflicts with others and to manage these conflicts to successful outcomes
To demonstrate these abilities you must complete the following FOUR tasks:
- Identify which roles you tend to play in teams
- Reflect on your experience of working in a team
- Identify the conflict styles you tend to use
- Assess your teamwork ability
