Communication

Communication skills is one of the careercred and CBI (Confederation of British Industry) core skills for the workplace. This badge is about your application of literacy, your ability to produce clear, structured written work and your oral literacy, including listening and questioning skills.

To earn this badge you need to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Ability to selecct and discriminate between information sources based on their reliability and suitability for purpose
  • Ability to produce structured and purposeful reports with conclusions supported by a critical selection of valid evidence
  • Ability to express opinions, speculate, discuss, reason and engage in debate and argument
  • Ability to present a clear and concise message using a variety of media

To demonstrate these abilities you must complete the following FOUR tasks:

  1. Reflect on an oral communication experience
  2. Demonstration your communication ability
  3. Create a LinkedIn Profile
  4. Assess your communication ability
