Criteria

The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they can:

  • Explain how girls, boys, women, and men are differently affected by crises and what can be done to promote gender equality in emergencies
  • Differentiate between approaches to promoting gender equality in education in emergencies programming
  • Identify strategies to prevent, mitigate, and respond to gender based violence (GBV) in EiE programmes

This badge is earned by completing the necessary activities, knowledge check tasks and feedback requests within Unit 4.

Unit 4: Gender Responsive EiE

This course unit has been developed by Save the Children in collaboration with INEE, Plan International and many other contributing partners. The EiE Online course explicitly links to the INEE Competency Framework and is a foundational pre-requisite for the accredited EiE Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), delivered in partnership with the University of Geneva (see the EiE Professional Development Programme webpage for more information on this).
