We are an organisation that brings together researchers, practitioners and developers – both new and experienced – who feel passionate about the use of technology for the learning and teaching of languages and cultures.
Established in 1993 by the European Commission, we are looking back at 25 years of forming and sharing knowledge drawing on fields such as Applied Linguistics, Educational Technology, Computer Mediated Communication, and – more recently - Digital Literacies.
While catering for a vibrant audience from around the globe, the EUROCALL community offers a European lens for the creation and dissemination of innovative research and practice in technology- mediated language learning and teaching.
We provide a supportive environment for individual and collaborative researchers keen to push boundaries while keeping language learners’ needs – including language teachers as learners – at the forefront of their mind.
Yet, we are equally committed to meeting the needs of our members: those who are figuring out what their specific interest in the use of technology for language learning is, as well as established colleagues who want to keep abreast with the most recent developments.
This badge is awarded to those who presented in the EUROCALL 2024 conference, #eurocall2024, a face to face conference with remote access held in Trnava, Slovakia.
