YUFE Professional Star

YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) is a European university alliance focused on building a student-centered, inclusive, and innovative academic ecosystem. It connects universities, cities, and industries across Europe to foster collaboration in education, research, and societal impact.

YUFE emphasizes mobility, interdisciplinarity, and real-world problem-solving, allowing students and staff to engage in personalized learning paths, research opportunities, and community-driven initiatives, creating a strong foundation for a more integrated European education space.

The Professional Star provides an inclusive, diverse ecosystem giving research -and work- based opportunities, leading to interdisciplinary and intersectoral knowledge, as well as skills development.

YUFE fosters collaboration among research, education, industry and citizens in an international and intercultural environment, for the benefit of local communities.

> Requirements

Minimum expected workload: 60 hours.

• Option A: Challenge Teams
  An intensive, team-based process for solving social, scientific, and technological challenges formulated by local stakeholders. In teams, participants work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

• Option B: Entrepreneurial training
  Combination of activities not linked to a long-term programme, having to choose from MOOCs, Talk Shows and a YUFETHON (a 2-day, online hackathon).

• Option C: Ideas Lab
  A one-term, blended innovative programme to develop cultural, social and business ideas. This activity provides a collaborative, international mentoring and feedback. It offers a ‘learning by doing’ approach, using Lean and Design thinking methodologies. Immersive experiences with startups and innovation events are also included.

• And a Reflection Report: to reflect on initial goals and expectations, as well as new things learned throughout the experience.
