This badge will be issued following completion of a one-day course entitled, ‘Fundamental Course in Cleaning in Place (CIP) for the Food Industry’, and subsequently the completion of a second one-day cleaning course entitled ‘Advance Training Course in Cleaning in Place (CIP) for the Food and Beverage Industries’. Both are one-day courses and can be completed independently, however the progression from the Fundamental Course to the Advanced Course will reward the participant with a digital badge.

  • Describe the standards of cleaning to be achieved in food manufacturing facilities.
  • List the stages in both a simple and complex CIP process
  • Identify the 4 elements of effective cleaning.
  • Describe and differentiate between the application of caustic and acid based cleaning solutions.
  • Derive and apply solutions from the knowledge gained on CIP troubleshooting.
