Unit 4: Cash and Voucher Assistance in EiE

Save the Children is a global movement made up of national member organisations. Save the Children UK is the oldest and one of the biggest members.

The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they can:

• Explain the potential role of Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) in supporting access to and delivery of education in emergencies, including different approaches and modalities.
• Describe the process of assessment and analysis required for using CVA for EiE programming, including key considerations and sensitivities.
• Identify the stakeholders and mechanisms that need to be engaged to enable CVA for EiE programming and effective strategies for doing so.

This badge is earned by completing the necessary activities, knowledge check tasks and feedback requests within Unit 4.

Unit 4: Cash and Voucher Assistance in EiE

This course unit has been developed by Save the Children in collaboration with INEE, World Vision, the Global Education Cluster and many other contributing partners. The EiE Online course explicitly links to the INEE Competency Framework and is a foundational pre-requisite for the accredited EiE Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), delivered in partnership with the University of Geneva (see the EiE Professional Development Programme webpage for more information on this).
