AEWA Geneva 2026 – Institutionalization Participant

The Alliance for the Education of Women in Afghanistan is a global coalition of education providers, institutions, and partners working to ensure access to quality education for Afghan women and girls in contexts where formal systems are restricted or unavailable.

Established in response to the disruption of national education systems, AEWA operates as a coordinated ecosystem that supports independent and non-governmental learning providers through shared standards, quality assurance mechanisms, and peer recognition frameworks.

AEWA develops and maintains a common set of Learning Quality Standards, enabling providers to evaluate, improve, and demonstrate the quality of their educational programs. Through structured processes including self-evaluation, coaching, and peer-informed review, the Alliance promotes accountability, continuous improvement, and interoperability across learning pathways.

By aligning diverse providers within a shared framework, AEWA contributes to the development of a coherent, trusted system of education delivery for Afghan women and girls across multiple geographies and modalities.

To earn this badge, participants must: Participate in the Fourth Annual Meeting of the Alliance for the Education of Women in Afghanistan, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 18–20 June 2026.
