Springineering Challenge 2026: Volunteers

The recipient of this badge served as a vital member of the volunteer and student supporter team for the Springineering Challenge 2026. This role was instrumental in fostering a sense of belonging within the University of Oulu community and ensuring the successful execution of a large-scale multidisciplinary technology event. The recipient supported the logistical and community-driven aspects of the event, facilitating interaction between 14 student teams, faculty staff, and representatives from eight ICT companies including Nokia Oyj, Nordic Semiconductor Finland Oy, Siili Solutions Oyj, Boogie Software Oy, EXFO Oy, Medanets Oy, VRKiwi Oy and Ääköset Oy.

Criteria

As a volunteer, the recipient actively contributed to the event through the following actions:

Event Coordination: Assisted in the logistical setup of interactive project stands and the Tellus Stage for live pitches and demos.

Community Engagement: Supported a welcoming atmosphere for over 150 participants and visitors, facilitating networking between students and industry "Explorers".

Operational Support: Managed registration, assisted with the "ITEE SPOT" digital platform, or guided visitors during the themed tour sessions.

Team Collaboration: Worked effectively within the ITEE Student Supporters team to manage a high-energy, time-sensitive innovation environment.

Professional Conduct: Represented the Faculty of ITEE as a primary point of contact for guests, industry professionals, and student competitors.
