2025 Open Education Award for Excellence Nominee

Each year since 2011, the Open Education Awards for Excellence (OEAwards) provide recognition for contributions to the Open Education community, recognizing people, resources, and practices that exemplify excellence in the field.

This certifies the recipient has been nominated for an award by a member of the open education community and will be considered in the review process for the awards issued in October 2025. Regardless of the selection of winners, Open Education Global celebrates and shares the efforts all nominated open educators.

"HAN Holistic OER Implementation Strategy" has been nominated in the Open Practices Awards category (Holistic OER Implementation Strategy). This nomination was submitted by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.

"Since 2022, HAN University of Applied Sciences runs a program to give students and lecturers easy access to high-quality educational resources, focusing on OER. The step-by-step, innovative approach, including all stakeholders (students, lecturers, staff and Board), addressing all topics (educational, logistic, copyright, recognition) and sharing all results openly, results into HAN University of Applied Sciences being an excellent practice of how to successfully adopt OER."
