This certifies the recipient has been nominated for an award by the open education community and will be considered in the review process for the awards issued in September 2026. Regardless of the selection of winners, Open Education Global celebrates and shares the efforts all nominated open educators.

"Nadine Aboulmagd" has been nominated in the Individual Awards category (Program Steward for a Global Open Community of Practice).

"So much work in open pedagogy happens quietly and behind the scenes. The reason this nomination deserves recognition with a 2026 Open Education Award for Excellence is that Nadine Aboulmagd makes open community possible from the inside. As Program Manager for MYFest, Equity Unbound's global online learning festival, she stewards the care that allows facilitators and participants from around the world to gather, share freely, and feel like their ideas matter. Equity Unbound is known for its work driving intentionally equitable hospitality, and Nadine is the person who enacts it behind the scenes, tending to every speaker and contributor so that they can be hospitable to others in turn."
