Students will achieve this badge after 10 hours of registered attendance and engagement in the In-Sessional Academic Language and Literacy programme. Students who have attained this badge will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of:
- the requirements of written assessments at HE in the UK
- the range of written academic genre
- research, note-taking and citation skills
- how to communicate knowledge in their subject area in writing
- pronunciation skills
- how to deal with unknown vocabulary
