This module provides essential knowledge in AI law in four different contexts: wellbeing, marketing, recruitment, and the public sector. It focuses on the legal frameworks of AI-powered technologies and practices in specific areas, as well as the main requirements, risks, and opportunities of AI use. The module offers basic knowledge of all four areas, with a possibility to deepen knowledge in the area(s) of choice.

Recipient of the Open Badge:

  • Is familiar with the basics of AI law in the context of marketing, recruitment, health, and public sector
  • Recognizes basic sector-specific legal and regulatory issues, with a possibility of deeper knowledge in 1-2 contexts, as follows:

The AI Regulation in Context module is a 1 ECTS training module and part of the 5 ECTS Responsible AI-Powered Organization competence training. The training was conducted in collaboration between the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki and the Center for Continuing Education HY+, as part of a pilot for work-life-oriented, micro-credential competence training, funded by the Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment.
