Rooted in its European history and identity, ESCP inspires and educates purpose-driven leaders who will positively impact the world.
By producing research-based knowledge disseminated through a unique pedagogical model based on systematic mobility across 6 urban and phygital campuses across Europe, ESCP delivers the best degree and non-degree business education programmes based on multiculturalism and interdisciplinarity to international high-potential students and executives.
Objectives
This project introduces students to the challenges of fully virtual collaboration and assesses their ability to apply theoretical concepts to a real-world context.
Program
Students work in pairs (one ESCP student and one Sussex student) simulating a client–project manager relationship. Two online meetings are held: the first for the client to present their idea, the second for the project manager to present their proposed solution and receive feedback. Meetings are conducted via a mutually agreed platform. Participants must have a laptop, headphones, and Internet access.
Benefits
Students gain practical experience in virtual teamwork and learn to manage technological, organisational, and cultural differences commonly encountered in virtual work environments.
Teaching Methodology
As described under Program above.
Assessment
A 400-word joint report and a 200-word individual reflection must be submitted. To earn the badge, students must fully engage in the project, provide screenshots of the two meetings (and any additional exchanges), and submit all deliverables on time.
