Referencing and Citation

All Aboard is a project funded by Ireland’s National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning, which aims to identify develop a national Digital Skills Framework for HE.

This badge is awarded upon successful completion of the All Aboard introductory online lesson on Citing and Referencing. The badge holder should be able to:

• Understand what Citing & Referencing is and why it is important to your Academic Integrity now and in the future.
• Be able to identify references from different information sources and know the difference between a Bibliography and a Reference List.
• Implement citing and referencing using the Harvard style including correctly paraphrasing, summarising and directly quoting different sources.
