The Critical Thinking and AI course in the My Digital Backpack helps students develop essential critical thinking skills and AI literacy for today’s complex information landscape. Students will learn how to analyse information effectively, construct strong arguments, and evaluate the credibility of sources. With a focus on understanding artificial intelligence, this course also explores how to recognise AI-generated content, identify its limitations, and use AI responsibly and thoughtfully. Through interactive activities, knowledge checks, and reflective practice, learners will deepen their understanding, integrate new insights, and develop a more discerning and reflective approach to learning and problem-solving. This course was developed by Christa de Brún and Emmett Cullinane, SETU, as part of an N-TUTORR initiative. My Digital Backpack was developed under the N‑TUTORR programme and funded by the European Union under the NextGenerationEU initiative, as part of Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
