The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they have achieved Unit 1 learning objectives:

• Describe the principles, standards, codes of conduct of humanitarianism

• Identify the codes of conduct which relate to the scenarios presented

• Describe SDG4 and the UNCRC

• Explain how these three concepts and frameworks underpin the rationale for EiE

This badge is earned by completing the necessary activities, knowledge check tasks and feedback requests within Unit 1.

Unit 1: Foundations of EiE

This course unit has been developed by Save the Children in collaboration with INEE, Plan International and many other contributing partners. The EiE Online course explicitly links to the INEE Competency Framework and is a foundational pre-requisite for the accredited EiE Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), delivered in partnership with the University of Geneva (see the EiE Professional Development Programme webpage for more information on this).
