This badge shows that the bearer has completed the Science Communication Summer Research Project for biomedical and biomolecular sciences in the School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences. To complete the project, students must competitively apply to the project, attend and engage with a variety of skill development sessions to enhance their employability and academic skills, and complete a range of communication-focused assessments including oral presentations, written work, and teamwork-based communication. This work forms a portfolio of communication evidence that students can showcase in future applications.

Criteria
To attain the BMS SciComm Summer Project badge a candidate must:
Apply to the Science Communication Summer Project by submitting a short statement outlining their motivation for applying.
Attend and engage with skill development sessions throughout the project.
Submit and pass each of 3 communication-focused assessments. Assessments include academic writing, oral presentation and teamwork within small groups of fellow candidates.
