This badge is aimed at UCC staff at SEA level or equivalent and above / individuals may already have some supervisory responsibility and may aspire to managing staff in future. Attendees will not currently be participating in the "Effective Employee" or the "Successful Team Leader" programme or have undertaken the ILM certificate in Leadership. This need for leadership development has been identified through feedback given to staff members following recruitment and promotion processes. This target group (SEA/Gr 5 or equivalent would not be successful in applying for other Leadership programmes i.e. Aurora or Aspiring Leaders as they lack the necessary experience which is a pre-requisite for these programmes. Our current programme offering includes: Advance HR Aurora Programme, UCC Successful Team Leader Programme (digital badge), IMI/UCC Aspiring Leaders, IMI/UCC Current Leaders Programme. Application Process: Via application form - explaining why this programme is relevant at this stage in the staff members career career (400 word limit) highlighting the relevance to a) their b) their unit.

Criteria

  1. Must be available to attend on all dates (as advertised).
  2. Complete an MBTI questionnaire & follow up one to one feedback session with an MBTI practitioner.
  3. This programme is open to staff who are not currently participating in the ‘Effective Employee’ or ‘Successful Team Leader’ programmes.
  4. Give a short presentation at end to facilitators and fellow participants on personal learning from the programme.
